FLAX ROYALTIES
We are pleased to be able to report that owners of the Moutoa Estate have notified millers that, until further notice, royalties will be based on the Eondon market price ofg.f.a.q. hemp until further notice. We are not in a position to state upon what scale the royalties are based. That is the millers’ business, but we are glad to know that in the interests of the district and all concerned in the industry, the owners of the green leaf are showing an inclination to meet the present decline in prices, and thus enable millers to carry on and hope for better returns in the near future. Perhaps with strict economy and employers and employees working loyalty together, the welfare of hundreds may be secured, and the progress of the town and district escape a serious check.
