DECEASED WIFE’S SISTER.

London, October 31

Viscount Halifax, President of the English Church Union, has communicated to the Archbishop of Canterbury and other Bishops a memorial signed by nearly 10,000 clergy relative to the Deceased Wife’s Sister Act. The Archbishop, replying, informed Viscount Halifax that he personally had tried to act in a way to best serve the highest interests of the Church and of the Realm.
