Rise in Butter Boxes. Manufacturers Anxious. Bv Telegraph— Special To Herald. Palmerston, This Afternoon. The search)’ of white pine has brought about a rise in the price of butter boxes for export. Since the beginning of July the increased cost has been 2§d per box and this has now been added to the quotation, making the average price iqjd per box. Targe exportations of timber to Australia and Kngland, local manufacturers state, has been the principal factor in causing a scarcity. They regard the future with some anxiety.
