AUSTRALIAN POLITICS.
Perth, October 10. In the Assembly a discussion has arisen on an amendment to the Address-in-Reply, moved by the leader of the Opposition. He condemned the action of the Government in submitting fresh taxation proposals for those which the Legislative Council had rejected last session, thereby humiliating the Assembly. The Government is treating the motion as one of want of confidence. Sydney, October 10. The debate on the vote of general want of confidence in the Wade Ministry, moved by Mr J. McGowen, leader of the Labour party-in the Assembly , is proceeding.
