PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH CONCERT.
We remind our readers of the excellent entertainment to be given in the Public Hall to-morrow evening. The programme appears in tjiis issue, and will be found to contain items to suit the taste of all. The orchestra parts are of a particularly superior kind, and no pains have been spared by persistent practice to make them musical gems. The vocal parts are being undertaken by ladies and gentlemen possessing highly trained voices, and who are able to give an artistic and appreciative rendering of the several items set against their names. We can assure the audience of a musical treat rarely to be enjoyed outside a large city. To those who love an exhibition of the “ light fantastic ” the performance of the little twin sisters Olive and Hazel Bett in the sailor’s hornpipe and Highland fling Iwill leave nothing to be desired. All who enjoy a good hearty laugh will have their risible faculties smartly tickled in the “ Proposal Sketches ” by Mr Burnard, who is an adept in his particular line, and always succeeds in simply “bringing the house down.”. To the athletic ladies and gentlemen of the community the performance of Mr R. O. Jarrett with his fire clubs will come not only as a surprise, but a startling and thrilling exhibition. While those who favour the histrionic art, will find their taste catered for in the “ Doctor’s Patients.” The whole entertainment will be a veritable raultum in pkrvo, and will well repay anyone in search of an evening’s amusement. The price ot admission is so small as to be within the reach ot all.
