THE WELLMAN EXPEDITION.

Mr Wellman, after one ascent, was compelled to abandon his balloon, and returned to Tromsoe. [The last advice of this expedition —published on Saturday—stated that the northerly gales had prevented the ascent of Mr Wellman’s airship, and it was probable the expedition would be postponed for a year].
