MONTGOMERY ENTERTAINERS.

The programme to be produced on Tuesday night in the Public Hall may be judged by the following from a contemporary: The musical portion of the programme was a great attraction in itself. Mr Will Monks, on the comic side, was very funny, without being in any way course, and had a triple encore. Mr Harry Thomas gave a descriptive song with fine effect. “ I want to be a soldier” was sung by Mr Edmund Montgomery, who was vigorously encored. The £ong was given with illustrations, and the chorus was thrown on the .screen, and the tune being a catchy bne the audience heartily joined in the chorus. Mr W. H. Montgomery sang “ Bandoliero in fine style, being warmly applauded. Messrs Morton and Marmon had a great success with their clever musical entertainment. They seemed .to be adepts with every musical instrument, among the feats being the playing of two distinct tunes in harmony, one performer simultaneously playing two cornets, mimicry on the different instruments, and a grand finale, in which the one player manages the cornet, piano, big'drum, and kettle-drum, and triangle at one time, making use of mouth, hands, and feet to manipulate the instruments. Tickets may be secured at Mr Lev’ett’s.
