N.S.W. ELECTIONS.

Sydney, September n. Mr Carrutbers, the Premier, was returned by a majority of 3700. Mr Wade, who was responsible for the gaming and liquor laws had a majority of 3300. All the members of the Government were returned by substantial majorities. The seats of two ministers, Messrs Dick and Ashton, who retired, were won by Ministerialists, The Premier expressed himself satisfied with the result of the election. He reckoned he had gained seven seats. The Labour party had gained eight, but had lost others, making the net gain three seats. It is estimated that the state of the parties will be : —Ministerial 55, Labour 29, Independents 6.
