SUICIDE.

Masterton, September 5. A youth, Arthur Pond, aged seventeen years, employed by Beale and Parton, plumbers, Masterton, was found hanging in a loft above the workshop at 5.10 p.m. to-day, having tied a piece of scrim round his neck. Deceased was well and seemed in good spirits, and had been laughing and talking with his mates at 4 p.m., went out at closing time, when search was made. His parents are residents here. No reason can be found for his deed.
