THE THAW CASE.

New York, September 3. Mr Jerome, New York District Attorney, will be unable to move for anew trial of Harry Thaw, for the murder of Stanford White, until January next. [This case will be fresh in the minds of readers- Both Thaw and White were millionaires, and the former shot White one night in November last at the Madison Square Garden Theatre, New York, alleging that White had libeled hisl (Thaw’s) wife, who was formerly an actress. The trial commenced on January 36th of this srear,5 r ear, and lasted till the middle of April, many lawyers being engaged and a long list of witnesses examined for both prosecution and defence, the plea of insanity being set up in extenuation of the crime. Finally a medical commission declared Thaw to be sane and the jury failed to agree ou a verdict.
