FOXTON HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY.
About a dozen ladies and gentlemen were present at Mr M. Perreau’s rooms last night, to further discuss horticultural matters. The , very inclement weather - precluded V,a large number from attending. V Am pug those present were three ladies and a gentleman, who had come a considerable distance. It was decided to further postpone the meeting until Tuesday evening next, in order to allow those who had expressed a desire to be present to put in an appearance. Catalogues and other information have been received from the Greytown and Lower Valley H. and I. Society, New Plymouth, Inglewood, Pahiatua, and other societies, so that there is plenty of up-to-date data to draw from. We hope the elements will be more propitious next Tuesday evening, and that there will be a large attendance.
