TECHNICAL CLASSES.
To the Editor. . Sir, —Several weeks ago a public meeting was addressed by Mr Amos (Technical instructor) on the formation of technical classes in Foxton, but I have not heard of classes yet being formed, although a resolution was passed at this meeting pointing out the desirability of so doing. A committee was formed to canvass the town, in conjunction with the school committee, for names of those willing j to join. It seems-to me, Sir, that b the people of Foxton are about N the slowest under the sun ; here they have a building prepared for them, a luxury no other town in the education district has, and yet they are apparently unable to take advantage of same and get the classes under weigh. I noticed by your columns some time ago that the Chamber of Commerce had passed a donation and would like to know what is being done with the money. As one who is waiting for the classes to commence I hope that very soon something will be done, and the accusation that Foxton is too slow in educational matters be removed,—l am, etc., Probable Member.
