COURSING.

Coursing at Palmerston y esterday was not as successful as it might have been, owing to the number of kills registered. Shadbolt’s Proctor was defeated in his first course by Sarra, while Hickson’s Awahou, was beaten by Abundance, after they had previously coursed two undecideds. On account of shortage of hares, the Members’ Stake was withdrawn. The Maiden Stakes will be concluded to-day. We understand font prominent townsmen have guaranteed £2O each towards inaugurating a Coursing. Club in Foxton, and in all likelihood a meeting will be called shortly to form a Club with the object of running a coursing stake next March.
