A SERIOUS CHARGE.

In the Magistrate’s Court this morning George William Hulley, butcher’s assistant, was charged on remand with unlawfully procuring a certain instrument, knowing that the same was to be used unlawfully. The accused, who reserved his defence, was committed to stand his trial at the criminal sittings of the District Court, to be held in Masterton on August, 18th. Bail was allowed, accused and one surety of /50.
