FOOTBALL.

The Management Committee of the Manawatu Rugby Union met at Palmerston on Tuesday night. The date of the return match with Foxton was fixed for July 27th, The Referees’ Association wrote asking why the courtesy of appointing a referee in the FoxtonManawalu representative match had not been extended to the Association. It was decided to state in reply that the ordinary procedure in inter-Union matches had been followed, Foxton having specially asked for Mr E. Nash to be appointed. The following team will represent Albions in their match against Awahou on Saturday : Bona, Robinson, Matt Royal, J. Frankland, Momo, Aonui, Tawhi, Erura, Curtis, Chalk, Hanna, Rimmer, Bowe, Earkins, D. Mullins, Hunter, and Cook ; emerg.: Broad, Howan, Williams, Cook, J. Walker, The Secretary of the Albion club acknowledges with thanks a donation of £2 2s from W. Walden, Esq.
