OLD MAN’S PECULIAR DEATH.
Wanganui, July 3
An elderly man named John Blair, aged 69 years, met his death this morning under peculiar circumstances. He was standing on a chair pruning a fruit tree, when the chair gave way and he fell on to the knife, severing his jugular vein. He died in a few minutes.
