EDUCATION BOARD ELECTION.
An election to fill the vacancies on the - Wanganui Education Board caused by the retiring of Messrs Alf Fraser and D. H. Guthrie, will take place next month. Both gentlemen are eligible for re-election and we blieve will again offer their services. The services of the former gentlemen is thus referred to by the Feilding Star, whose editor can speak with authority by reason of his position as Chairman of the Board ; “ Mr Fraser has done good service on the Board, and has proved unremitting in the attention he has paid to his duties and the time he has devoted to the wants of the southern end of the district, while his business training has proved of considerable benefit to the Board in his position as principal member of the Finance committee. Besides that his unfailing good humour and experience of local bodies’ work makes him an unexceptionably good colleague.” It is probable that both gentlemen will be returned unopposed.
