SLY-GROG SELLING.
Woman Sentenced to Three MonthsInvercargill, May 31. The Magistrate (Mr McCarthy) delivered reserved judgment in the case of Margaret McAuliffe, charged with sly-grog selling at the Shamrock Hotel. Defendant had been previously convicted of keeping liquor for sale in a no-license area. The Magistrate found the charge substantiated, and sentenced the accused to three months’ imprisonment. Notice of appeal was given.
