THE FAMILY HOTEL.
The above hostelry, which has been conducted with credit by Mr A, Laing for a number of years, has changed hands. Mr S. Hickson, who is well-known throughout the Manawatu as a flaxmiller, is the new proprietor, and he took possession on Tuesday last, Mr Hickson is joined by his son, Mr R. G, Hickson, also well-known throughout the town and district, and who, until recently, conducted a wood and coal yard. It is the intention of the new proprietor to conduct the hotel on up-to-date lines, and while liquors of the very best brands only will be stocked, the accommodation of the travelling public will not be overlooked. In this particular, Mr.Hickson intends to make his house second to none in the district. The cuisine will be in charge of an experienced chef, and old and new patrons can rest assured that nothing will be left undone to ensure their comfort.
