CORRESPONDENCE.
Wo do not hold ourselves responsible for opinions expressed by our correspondents. To the Kditor. To the Kditor. Sir —There being so many different reports circulated about Foxton in regard to myself in connection with a certain Court case; it is my desire to contradict through the medium of your valuable columns, these statements as utterly untrue. It seems to me me the quieter one may rest he is most ' certain to be slandered. It has been let loose round the township of Foxton that it was necessary I was again compelled at the Court to fulfil the payment of an order that was made against me, such statement, I must say are Now Sir,as one has been brought before the Court, and his case made public, it seems somewhat strange that a certain class of people who gather lound their afternoon tea cups do nothing else but talk about other people’s affairs, when they should be most carefully looking after their own,' but .there is an old proverb, that people who live in glass houses should never throw stones, and if they are not very careful, a stray stone might accidentally rebound, then there is sure to be trouble. I must certainly say that I regret very much to have to put through youp valuable columns this contradiction and trust, that for the future, all these busy-bodies will stop circulating these false fabrications and not allow their tongues to wag too freely,—l am etc., E. D. Dunn,
