ANDERSON’S GAIETY CO.
We draw the attention of our readers to the magnificent family entertainment to be given a,t the Public Hall on Tuesday next, May 28 th, for positively one night only, by Anderson’s Grand Gaiety Company. Amongst other performers meriting special attention are Hillier the Great, the marvellous illusionist and pure sleight of hand performer whose marvellous magic skill is greatly accounted for by a trip through the Eastern countries, where he studied under the greatest magicians of the day. His performance has never been equalled, and is well worth seeing. Miss Leanora Foley, grand serio-comic and charming balladist, will also give her successful illustrated song, “ The Land of Nod.” Amongst others, Miss Ethel Baldwin, the clever serio comic and dancer, will also add to the evening’s enjoyment, Tom Naw will also give numerous items, etc. The Raidioscope, the latest French animated picture machine, and the only one in New Zealand, accompanies this strong company of singers, dancers, magicians, etc., and will introduce a number of beautiful living pictures, all entirely new, and they include a number of splendid comic ones such as ‘‘Greedy Billy,” ‘‘The Eccentric Barber,” etc. The advance representative informs us that the programme is genuine and that they have met with excellent houses all along the line, and that a first-class evening’s entertainment is offered to all who attend.
