DARING BURGLARY.

Waihi, May 17

A daring robbery was committed at a boardinghouse ’ last night, when jewellery valued at ,£SO, and cash ,£2O, were stolen. The thief entered through a back door, and escaped through a bedroom window. The cash-box and jewelcase were found in an adjoining hedge.

Napier, May 17,

The offices of the Napier Fish Supply Company at the Port were burglarously entered on Tuesday night, and one of the safes (which fortunately contained nothing) carried bodil} - away. Yesterday morning the safe was found in a battered condition in a lagoon, and later the police arrested William Brock and Charles John Bartlett on a charge of being connected with the burglary. They were brought before the Court to-day, and were remanded.
