FROM MANUFACTURER TO CONSUMER.
The public of Foxton are notified in our advertising colums that the Manufacturers’ Direct Importing Company intend holding a three days monster drapery sale in the Masonic Hall, Foxton, beginning on Saturday next, 25th May, at 1 p.m. The company has engaged Mr W. H. Hawkins, exM. H. R. for Pahiatua, as their auctioneer. As an auctioneer Mr Hawkins is considered equal to any salesman in the colony. During his recent visit to the Old Country Mr Hawkins was commissioned by the M. D. I. C. to purchase direct from the makers consignments of general drapery, cutlery, electro plate, crockery—all useful new goods. A special feature of these sales is the excellent assortment of Nottingham lace curtains, every curtain being a picture. Mr Hawkins makes a fixed rule at his sale to absolutely sell every article for which a bid is accepted, independant of whether it reaches cost price or not.
