MUNICIPAL INSPECTION

His Worship the Mayor, accompanied by Crs Coley, Austin, P. Hennessy, and Baker, made an inspection of the streets within the borough yesterday afternoon. A report in connection therewith will be presented at the next meeting of the Council, in which we understand that it will be recommended that a good blinding of Palmerston metal be laid down, which will ultimately place the thoroughfares in good order. We might be permitted to suggest that the Council could materially improve the comfort of pedestrians by giving attention to some of the borough footpaths.
