FOOTBALL.

A combined meeting of subcommittees to draw up fixtures, appoint referees, draw up by-laws, and general, was heid at Sandon, (Council Chambers) on nth May, Mr A. Davis (vice-President) in the chair. The minutes of the previous meeting oflhe Management Committee were read aud confirmed. After discussion, it was decided on the motion of Mr Robinson, seconded by Mr Wanklyn,That Bulls Club be accepted to affiliation in the Foxton SubUnion, subject to the approval of the New Zealand Rugby Union. It was also decided that a new competition be instituted-for boys under 15 years'of age,'on the proposition of Mr F. Robinson, and seconded by the Chairman. It was decided that the printing of by-laws be left in the hands of the secretary, these books' to be sold at 6d each, and to include rules of the game. The sub-committee appointed to draw up fixtures executed the programme as follows (senior) : May 18 —Sandon v. Rongotea, at Rongotea, Mr Robinson, referee. May 18—Albion v. Awahou, at Foxton, Mr Frew, referee. May 25 —Bulls v. Sandon, at Sandon, Mr Bowater, referee. May 25 —Rongotea v. Albions, at Foxton, Mr Hawkins, referee. June I—Bulls1 —Bulls v. Awahou, at Bulls, Rev. Father Molloy, referee, _ ' June I—Sandon1 —Sandon v. Albions at Sandon, Mr C. Bowater, referee. June B—Awahou8 —Awahou v. Rongotea, at Rongotea, Mr Walters, referee. June B—Albions8 —Albions v. Bulls, at Foxton, Mr Bowater, referee. June 15 —Rongotea v. Bulls, at Bulls, Rev. Father Molloy, referee. June 15—Sandon v. Awahou, at Foxton, Mr Frew, referee. It was decided that nominations for the junior and boys’ competitions will be further extended till Saturday, May 18th, the Foxton members of the management committee to act as a fixtures-com-mittee for same. The sub-committee appointed to draw up by-laws then revised the Manawatu club contest by-luws, aud concluded the business at 3 a.m., votes of thanks being extended to the chair, and also to the Manawatu County Council for use of room.
