THE IMPERIAL CONFERENCE.
Various Resolutions. London, May 9. At the Conference, Mr Deakin’s and Sir Joseph Ward’s resolutions relating to treaty obligations were carried. The Cape Colony’s resolution relating to uniformity in the granting and protection of trademarks and patents was carried. A resolution was carried advocating greater uniformity in the trade statistics of the Empire and in the company laws. The Conference recorded and reserved for further consideration Sir Joseph Ward’s resolution in favour of reciprocity in the admission of barristers. It passed Sir Joseph Ward’s resolution for reciprocity in the admission of land surveyors.
