PERRY’S DIORAMA AND ROYAL SPECIALTY CO.
Fresh from a highly successful tour of the; South, and a record season of five nights, at.the Opera House, Wellington, comes the above company. They are to play here on Friday and Saturday, and should have a successful season. The pictures will be shown by electric light on a special 28ft screen of a material called kineo cloth. Mr Perry states that no old pictures will be seen; only those that are literally alive with interest. The subjects will be large and varied ; the comic pictures are a feature, and something good may be expected. The story pictures also are excellent. In addition will be seen a high-class variety programme, and a great attraction is said to be in the shape of 10 years-old Jennie Purchase, who is well worth seeing. The Brady sisters (from Rickards) will also appear, as well as Harry Laird (comedian), Lottie Werne (the dashing serio), and Ena Wilmott in illustrated songs. Patrons will find plenty of variety in the bill. The box plan being open at Levett’s, all are asked to book early. A sacred concert will be held on Sunday week. •
