To the Editor. Sir, —Some time ago you wrote about reports of the Library Committee and who should be represented on it. I think, sir, it is about time some of the subscribers acted on this committee, as they do in other towns. Excuse me for saying, sir, that Foxton as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be. It has its own tin-pot way of doing things. No proper system, but runs its affairs on the “as it was in the past principle.’’ However, why did this marvellous committee give the librarian a holiday on Saturday night without putting up a notice on the library door, or otherwise notifying the subscribers “that no books would be given out ?” This is only one of many cases of remisuess.—Hoping the committee will explain, —I am, etc., Interested,
