GRAND OPERA FAUST.
The presentation of the grand opera “ Faust ” by means of animated pictures, which is announced to take place at the Hall next Wednesday and Thursday evenings, should attract general interest. This striking pictorial representation will be given in living natural colours, and, it is stated, will introduce every detail of the elaborate performance as given by one of the greatest opera companies in the world. Other striking pictures that are to be shown are “The Life of an American Fireman,” “Sherlock Holmes,” “ Marvellous Maoriland,” etc. The funny pictures are said to be very amusing and new to Foxton. The programme will be diversified each evening by original and screamingly funny musical comedy sketches and beautiful illustrated songs by Fisher and • Wilson. If the management is able to make satisfactory arrangements for an engine the pictures will be projected by their 12,000 candle power arc Hghtj
