EDUCATION BOARD.
The ordinary monthly meeting of the above Board was held last evening, there being present — Messrs F. Pimni (chairman), Fraser, Carson, Dixon, Spurdle, Smith, Purnell, and Bennett. An apology for absence was received from Mr Guthrie.
HIMITANGI. —The Chief Inspector reported that he considered a school to accommodate between 70 and 80 pupils to be necessary, and recommended the erection of the building on what is known as Govenlock’s site.—lt was decided to purchase Mr Govenlock’s section.
FOXTON. —Mr. Fraser reported in re requirements, recommending that 20 new desks be supplied, also a cupboard, shelving, and other furnishings, qnd that certain necessary repairs be effected.
