SUICIDE.

Auckland, March 30,

A gruesome discovery was made by two boys in the cemetery gully, about six o’clock on Friday evening, when the dead body of Alexander Schultze, formerly licensee of the Grosvenor Hotel, Hobson street, was found. The boys were looking for birds’ nests, and discovered the body among some bushes. The body was fully dressed, and a six-chambered revolver was lying at its side, one chamber being eraptv. There was a bullet wound in deceased’s forehead, and a small looking-glass was lying beside the body. At the inquest the jury returned a verdict of death from a bullet wound, self-inflicted, whilst deceased was of unsound mind.
