TAYLOR CARRINGTON CO.
To-Night. The above popular dramatic company, who have just finished a five weeks’ season at the Alhambra Theatre, Dunedin, purpose playing here for one evening only, on their way to Auckland; the piece chosen for representation is the sensational drama “Disowned, or the Anarchists of Dondon.” The Otago Daily Times said of this play:—“The story is of thrilling interest, natural in language and vigorous in action, the mounting and staging quite equal to anything previously seen here, one of the most effective scenes being the ‘ Explosion * with its showers of sparks, deafening report, and crash of falling material. The ‘ fire scene ’ was also good —in fact, play, players, and production were most excellent.” From the foregoing, local playgoers may anticipate a dramatic treat this evening.
