SANITARY CONTRACTOR FINED.
Auckland, March 15. Mr Dyer, S.M., fined Frank Jagger, sanitary contractor, and £9 16s costs for depositing filth below high-water mark within the harbour. Counsel for the defence raised the point that defendant was not liable for the acts of his servants against his express instructions. This was overruled.
