The Cadets have had a glorious time up to now but to-day it is ■raining. Captain Gordon left camp for Wanganui on Tuesday owing to serious sickness in the family.
Yesterday the Battalion was photographed for the illustrated papers and skirmishing work was indulged in in Hagley Park. Last night, for the fireworks entertainment, leave of absence was granted till eleven, and was the talk of the camp. If the weather clears this morning there will be an inspection parade by the Colonel and this afternoon a trip to Sumner.
The Cadets will return on Saturday night by the Te Anau and arrive at Foxton by the last train on Saturday.,
Six hundred 'Gisborne cadets will arrive in- camp (to-morrow.
