CADETS AT THE EXHIBITION.
Complimented on Their Appearance. Seeing the Sights. Ail Well. [By Telegraph—Special to Herald.] Christchurch, This Day. Two hundred and ninety-two Manawatu cadets marched into camp yesterday. Mr Woods, M.H.R., generously provided refreshments on the train for the whole battalion. It was a perfect sea voyage and there was no sickness, the boys being in excellent form and spirits. The illuminations are their marvel and wonderment. All the boys visited the Exhibition yesterday from two o’clock till nine. It is proving the best education the boys have ever had. The Weraroa Pipe Band headed the battalion from the station to camp. Both Wellington and Christchurch public admire the smartness and physique of the Manawatu battalion. Colonel Loveday compliments the battalion as the best yet in samp. cadets are thoroughly well alKHinjoying themselves. A church parade will be hela at the Cathedral to-morrow.
