ALL SAINTS’ CHURCH.
Foxton nows stands a parochial district by itself, and the new ViCar’s work will be confined to the town and immediate neighbourhood around. Owing to this new arrangement many more services will be given for the benefit of church people. On Sundays there will be three services instead of one, and they will be as follows:—8 a.m., Holy Communion ; 11 a.m., Matins; 7 p.ra., Evensong. On the first Sunday in the month there will be a Celebration ot the Holy Communion at 11 a.m., and on that Sunday there will be no morning sermon. The Sunday School will be opened each Sunday afternoon at 2 30 p.m , and bn the first Sunday in the month there will be Children’s Service in the Church -at 3 p.m. The week day services will be continued, Matins at 8.30 a.m., and Evensong at 5.30 p.m., Holy Baptism will be administered every Friday at 2.30 p.m. During Lent there will be a special service on Wednesdays at 7.30 p.m., when a series of short addresses will be given on ‘ ‘ Seven Holy Words from the Cross.” The Vicar expresses the hope that many will avail themselves of the opportunities given for more devotion in the Church. We are all busy people yet out of all these services we can find time to leave work for a little while and think of higher things. Arrangements will be made shortly for services in the country districts and these will be noted at another date. The Rev. G. Y. Woodward Wishes to state through the mediem of these columns that if wanted on any parochial matter he will be found at the Vicarage or in the Church at the time of the daily services. .
