Sir.—There has been a good deal of talk about the progress Foxton is making and I think it would go ahead still more if money was a little easier. This could be brought about if another bank opened a branch here. Where one bank only operates in a community the officer in charge is apt to get a trifle too cautious—or if you will permit the term, “ cocky,” No reflection on local bank manager, sir. I know lam expressing the wish of several I have spoken to on this matter, who all expressed the opinion that another bank, would be helpful in the best interests of the town. —Yours, etc , Progress.
