Criminal Charges.
The cases at present listed for trial at the criminal sittings ol the Supreme Court, which are to open at Wellington before Mr Justice Cooper on the 4UI proximo, already number twenty, one. The persons accused are Joseph Ellis, James Gerard, and George Will.ams (assault and robbery at Wellington!, Joseph Kelly (breaking, entering, and theft at Featherston), Arthur Law, vVilliam Scott, and, Harry Martindale (keeping a room for betting purposes at Wellington), Meihana Ropoania (murder at Mastertou), Noon Assaid (theft at -Featherston), Alexander McLean (breaking, entering, and theft at Featherston), George Frederick Sunderland (forgery at Wellington), Yow Li?e and Ah Chow (offences against females, Wellington), T. Bayon, alias Joseph Robinson (breaking, entering, and theft, Wellington), James Boyle (theft of horse, harness, dray, ana bicycle, Wellington), Ernest Stephen Dyton (indecent assault, Wellington), Leuneth Harold Kidd and Michael O’Donnell (assault and robbery, at Wellington), Roderick McKenzie, (breaking, entering, and theft, at Wellington), John Burke (attempted rape, Wellington), Alfred William Condon, (indecent assault, two charges Pahiatua), Arthur Herbert Ridd, (indecent assault, Pahiatua), brands John Eugene Baucke 1 (discharging a revolver with intent to injure, Pahiatua), Three men who have pleaded guilty to the offences charged against them will be presented for sentence.
