DISTRICT HIGH SCHOOL.
We are pleased to learn that an effort is to be made to convert the present State School into a District High School. There has been some agitation to establish a technical school here, which is very commendable, but the establishment of a high school is of prior importance and every effort should be put forth by the local committee to bring this about. There are no great difficulties in the way and we hope the new headmaster will report on the subject as soon as he has settled down and set his house in order.
