New York, Jan. 10. An explosion took place in the Riga furnaces at Jones and Laughlin’s steel works, Pittsburg. It is reported that many are ' killed and injured. The gas explosion at Jones and —-<®t,aughlin’s liberated streams of ffifcjnn-Uen metal 'five feet deep. Out ’Kfitmffy'-foe workmen only one escaped unhurt. He ran taster than the metal flowed. The rest were fatally injured and incinerated.
