THE WANGANUI RIVER.
Steamers now leave Wanganui for this fine excursion daily—Sundays and Monday excepted— returning the following days. Fares on the Wanganui—Pipiriki — Houseboat section are based on a steamer fare of 10s— per day. Taking the mileage into consideration, 240 miles for £ 2, a four days excursion, or a two days excursion tor .£ 1 is certainly cheap enough to suit the most exacting. The through train from Wellington will junction with the river steamers at Aramoho on Xmas and New Year mornings at 7 a.m.
