Janies Garden, junr., a storekeeper at Waiwcrn, committed suicide at Clinton to-day by cutting his throat. It is believed Garden had suffered from insomnia.

The arm of a man has been found on the beach near Cape Tuvnagain close to the remains of the launch Akitco, which was wrecked a few months ago. The flesh has almost entirely gone from the limb. It is believed to belong to cue of the men lost with the launch. A telegram from Wellington states: —A gardener working in the grounds of Parliament Buildings facing Sydney street, on Tuesday, discovered the body of an infant and pronounced it to have been still born.
