WEDDING BELLS.
Malett—Whibley.
On the Bth December, 1906, at the Manse. Wellington South, by the Rev. W. Shirer, Mr George Henry Malett, third son of John Malett Esq., of Christchurch, was married to Miss Rose Sarah Whibley second daughter of Daniel Whibley, Esq., of Foxton. The bride, who was given away by Mr A. McKinnon, looked charming in a dress of cream cashmere trimmed with lace and insertion; she wore a bjidal veil and orange blossoms and carried a shower bouquet. She was attended by two bridesmaids, Miss Ethel Whibley, (Sljfefr of the bride) and Miss Mavis McKinnon. The elder bridesmaid wore a pretty dress *of white silk with hat to match, and the tiny tot wore a pretty dress of white and silk and silk bonnet. The bridegroom was attended by Mr Donald McKinnon as best man. The bridegroom's present to the bride was a gold bangle and to the bridesmaids gold brooches. The bride’s present to the bridegroom was a pair of gold sleeve-links. After the ceremony a reception was held at the residence of Mr A. McKinnon, Lorne-street. The presents were both numerous and costly, including several cheques. The bride’s travelling dress was ‘a steel grey cloth trimmed with cream satin, with a burnt straw hat trimmed with chiffon and cream roses. The happy couple left by the 4,15 train for a short honeymoon trip.
