N k\v Plymouth, Tuesday

The licensing Committee met this morning, and refused to grant more than one conditional license for the Christmas races, and intimated that no liquor must be sold to Maoris, and also that, if drunkenness occurs at the Christmas meeting no license will be granted for the autumn meeting. The committee deputed one of its number to visit country hotels, with the sergeant of police, to examine the fire escapes.
