RIFLE SHOOTING.
Hlmatangi defeats Foxton.
The rifle match between Himatangi and Foxton took place at Himatangi on Saturday last, and resulted in a win for the latter by 133 points. Foxton were a man short and struck an average on the lowest scores which increased their total by 69, The local men appeared “clean off” and their shots were very disappointing. However it is hoped the tables will be turned when the return is fired. The visitors were most hospitably entertained. The following are the scores:— FOXTON.
