ROWING CLUB.
The first of the local rowing club’s pair-oar race took place last night when Messrs R. Grace (stroke), W- Shields (bow), defeated W. Gardner (stroke) and E. Walker (bow) by two lengths. Second heat. —R. G. Hickson (stroke), J. W. Rough (bow) defeated W. Gordon (stroke) and J. Walker (bow); To - night Lyttlejohn (stroke) Royal (bow) meet F. Peterson and A. J. Imrie.
