The Department of Industries and Commerce has received a cable message from the High Commissioner stating that “ good fair ” (Wellington) hemp on spot is quoted at /40 per ton, OctoberDecember shipments at ,£39 10s, and Janaury-March shipments at These quotations bring the New Zealand product within ten per cent of the Manilla fibre, which must be gratifying to millers and also to those interested in improving the quality of New Zealand fibre. / "• ■>.
