THREATENING THE PREMIER.

Aickin Refuses to Accept the Decision of the Judge.

Auckland, Yesterday

William Stevenson Aicken, who recently sent a threatening letter to the Premier, wrote to the Hon. J, A. Tole, Crown Prosecutor, this morning declining to accept the conditions of Mr, Justice Edwards’s decision, namely, that he be ordered to come up lor sentence when called upon, that he find sureties to keep the peace for three years, and not go beyond a radius of twenty miles from Auckland city.

Aicken appeared at Court this afternoon before Mr. Justice Edwards. His Honor, after reading the letter to Mr Tole, suggested to Aicken that he should take a week to reconsider the matter, Aickin assented, and was remanded for a week accordingly.
