The first championship cricket match of the season took P liic j; afcl | c Athletic Park yesterday aftcrnjm, when Foxton were defeated by Debaters to the tune of 73 runs to 3b on the first innings. 1 here vi as a lack ot good cricket on both sides, the bowUng being erratic, the fielding at times wretched, while with lew exceptions the hatting was of a very mediocre order.
