CORRESPONDENCE.
(to the editor.]
Sir.—l should like to ask your assistance in helping me fathom a mystery. Nearly two years ago a meeting was called with the object of forming a rope and twine factory. A committee was formed, some very able men being chosen ; their duties being to ascertain the cost of plant, site, and everything else incidental to establishing a first-class factory. Half-a-crown a head was collected in the room to pay preliminary expenses [and the committee was to report to the meeting at a future date. I should like to ask whether the committee think the future date has arrived yet ? Thanking you very much, I am, etc.,
James Hurley
